Challenge
This project required a custom build, which is always fun. It meant we could think and create with a blank sheet of paper, and not be constricted by off-the-shelf products and how we adapt them to our solution.
We had a number of in-store constraints we had to work around, considering internal store features. We had to build the units into the space available, working around existing non-moveable pillars and beams in the store. We also had a narrow window for our installation, needing to complete this with minimal disturbance and with least effect to retail sales.
All products in the displays needed power, so access to cabling and cable management were important considerations in ensuring the showcase area was functional as well as attractive. Although there was some existing Panasonic branding on the beams and around the products, all of it needed to be replaced.
Solution
We built several custom units to showcase the TV’s. These were Melamine cabinets in a dark wood grain look with branded black backboards that were sized to fit around the beams and pillars in the store area.
The idea was to create a classic feel within a modern environment. The cabinets were designed for easy access to cables, with cable management built in to ensure a clean look. The Panasonic header panels around the products were updated with new vinyl prints to the black backboard, which ensured a cost-effective yet long-lasting solution that delivered high impact branding.
